Yeah, so there was this trailer that was put out a few days ago. I didn’t bother watching it until a few minutes ago. So, was it any good? Who knows. It just shows Ang spin his staff around and then push a giant gust of wind/fart out of the temple.
At the very least, I like that they selected a really skilled martial artist for Ang, even if there’s controversy over his race. What I still don’t like about the movie? EVERY OTHER FUCKING CASTING CHOICE!

So, USA Today has the scoop on M. Night’s new movie The Last Airbender (on account of Cameron making what sounds like the second coming of cinema called Avatar), and released pictures of Noah Ringer as Ang and, ugh, Dev Patel as Zuko. I have nothing against Patel, but this just screams opportunistic casting than proper one. And isn’t the Fire Nation analogous of ancient China? Same goes for Ang. But whatever, if the fighting is good (and the show had amongst the best ever animated anywhere) then it’ll have to at least be entertaining.
Still, it’s not the actors that are my chief concern. Shyalaman hasn’t made a good movie since Signs, with The Village being mediocre, Lady in the Water nothing more than self-congratulatory masturbation and The Happening just outright retarded. That’s not a euphemism. I firmly believe that the movie, if it were a person, would be mentally deficient. So I’m weary of Shyamalan’s latest endeavour.
It’s got solid material to work from so he can’t fuck up too badly, can he?
He's a kid, bald, and has a staff. Seems close enough. Too bad child actors usually suck.
Not by a long shot, buddy. Hopefully your tae kwon do skills fare better than your acting.
